Dr. Kitchens is a veterinarian at Stratford Hills Veterinary Center. He has been practicing veterinary medicine in the Richmond area for over 25 years. In 1983, he graduated from Virginia Tech and then attended veterinary school at Tuskegee University in Alabama. He earned a DVM degree in 1987. A Richmond native, Dr. Kitchens resides locally with his wife of more years than she's willing to admit, and their dogs.
Outside activities appeal to Dr. Kitchens. He enjoys camping, hiking, fishing and trips to national parks whenever possible. His love of animals and his working with them began at an early age. He has years of experience with dog obedience training including participating in obedience trials. Recently he began a new hobby, his young Golden Retriever, Oberon, is competing in conformation shows and has earned his Championship. Dr. Kitchens will now be taking Oberon 'Bad Dog' Kitchens into the obedience ring.
